Emergencies and disasters come in many shapes and sizes. Some, like the earthquakes in Haiti 2010, Japan 2011 in Nepal in 2015 or Cyclone Haiyan in the Philippines take centre stage in world media attention. Other emergencies touch the lives of thousands yet appear to go unnoticed. However, one thread runs though many of these events – In response to the calling of God, the Pakistani Emergency Services of The Salvation Army is committed to playing its part in fulfilling God’s purpose for his world by responding according to the pattern described by:
Our International Emergency Services Vision statement
Emergency Services will ensure that people affected by disasters and conflict around the world have the right to a self-determined life with dignity.  We empower individuals and communities to experience life in all its fullness through meeting immediate needs and building resilience in relationship with others and without discrimination.
Our International Emergency Services Mission statement
The mission of Emergency Services is to provide support and assistance to Territories, Commands, Regions and other countries affected by disaster and conflict. In participation with others this will be achieved through raising awareness of our vision and by providing support, coordination and facilitation of programmes, training and resources
International Emergency Services Theology:
In response to the calling of God, we are working same as International Emergency Services of The Salvation Army. In The Pakistan the Salvation Army is committed to playing its part in fulfilling God’s purpose for his world by responding according to the pattern described by:

Jesus when he commended those who give aid to others -
“Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me." (Matt 25:40 – NIV)

The Early Church when they provided help for those affected by a Judean famine -
“The disciples, as each one was able, decided to provide help for the brothers and sisters living in Judea.” (Acts 11:29 – NIV)
Current responses in Pakistan
Due to heavy rains in Baluchistan there was huge loss of properties and livelihoods. The international Salvation Army was able to assist 510 families
in three areas with food items.
On 27th April 2019 we were able assist 180 families in the city of Quetta. On 28th April 2019, we have distributed 230 food packets to Jafarabad and Kili Khaizi Communities in Quetta and on 29th we distributed 100 food packets at Kili Ruff. (100 kilometers far away from Quetta)
Sincere thanks go to our donors for this help.
